We’re looking for a strong game designer to help deepen and scale RoboOps — a 2–4 player co-op puzzle-action game built around improvisation.
RoboOps is a co-op, third-person puzzle-action game for 2–4 players on PC. We build the game around co-op improvisation — players talk, split roles in the moment, use the environment, take risks for loot, and find their way out of situations the script never planned for.
We’re a small team of around ten, self-funded, working without long approval chains — high influence on the product and real ownership of the outcome. The team includes people who came from Marvel Rivals, Epic Games and Escape from Tarkov. Our working timezone is UTC+3 (±2 hours). We’re at the vertical-slice stage: a working foundation, mechanics and prototypes that now need to come together into one coherent system.
We want a designer who can take the existing foundation — current mechanics, mission concepts, progression and economy — find the weak spots, validate solutions quickly in prototypes, and drive them to production-ready alongside engineering, level design, UI/UX and QA. You’ll need to see the game on three levels at once: the player’s concrete action; the mission and its drama; and the long-term meta — progression, risk and reward. If you don’t match every point but feel this is your role, get in touch.
